The AWHG

For over 30 years the AWHG has helped women from the BME community in Sheffield get the support they need for health, training, wellbeing, homework support and activities for their children.

Our organisation has significantly grown and evolved throughout the years, opening our support services to more families from a number of countries across the globe.

 

We run activities throughout term-time at the Subud Centre and outings during the summer months. We especially work to help women who have been displaced, such as refugees, asylum-seekers and women of Black and Minority heritage. These women typically have limited resources, minimal digital and language skills which often create a barrier to getting help.
